Alibi

At around 3:30 pm yesterday, I got a call from Ate Joelle (Gj's older sister). Turns out Chummy wanted to talk to me. We were "going out" that night since Anj wanted to talk with us (and she just needed to buy a new phone). I was in Marikina that time - inside an FX taxi - going to Rhea's place in Concepcion. I just came from Tutuban that morning. My feet hurt and I felt sweaty.

Chummy: So, anong oras ka pwede mamaya?
Me: Mga around 5pm siguro ako makakauwi.. Sunduin niyo na lang ako sa tapat ng village siguro.. Uwi lang ako at maliligo...

Hay, pagod na ako.. pero kung kailangan ba ako ni Anj, sige... Dapat pupunta pa ako kina Dianne nun, pero di na kasi nga kailangan ko na magmadali..

I did get home at around 5ish. I was having second thoughts about taking a shower since I was dog-gone tired. But I knew I had to - I couldn't stand the sweaty sensation anymore.

Text to Chummy: Chummy, ligo lang ako ah.... 20 mins ah. ...

Chummy to Me: Sige, mga 20mins siguro dyan na kami ah? Kakalampas lang namin sa LRT Santolan eh...

So there. I was literally rushing to get my hair dry and all. I was still confused about what to wear!
At around 6:15 pm, I told Pa that I would start walking to the gate of the village. As I started moving, I saw Chummy's Corolla comng into view. Ate Joelle, Chummy and Xo were inside the car. I got in and asked where Anj was. They told me that Anj was still at work. Xo came from Chummy's office by the way and he was suppose to go to Cac's house for some I don't know reason and we had to drop him off first...

Chummy: Ang cute naman ng outfit mo Kay. Hehe...
Ako: Hehe... Salamat dearie!

After a few minutes...

Chummy: Sige Xo, since love na kita ngayon.. Hatid na kita kina Caco...
Me: Hehe..
Xo: Sa bayan mo na ako ihatid..
Me: (huh? labo rin ni xo noh, hahatid na nga.. aayaw pa..)

Xo was giving Chummy directions about how to get to Cac's house. Chummy said she isn't really familiar with directions using the VV Soliven road. So there I was at the back of the car, joining Xo in unison, giving directions...

We finally reached the front of Caco's house. Caco's dad was outside the house.

Chummy: Oi, Ate Joelle, bababa ba tayo? Andiyan kasi yung tatay ni Caco. Nakakahiya namang hindi magpakita.
Ate Joelle: Oo nga, sige.. Nakakahiya naman. Saka may i-aabot kasi rin ako kay Cacs.
Ako: O sige po.. Oo tama.

So everyone got off the car. I was the last person to get off actually.. I was still fumbling with the zipper of my bag, trying to find my cellphone. But alas, I decided to just leave my bag in the car. I closed the door, and started walking. I was trying to keep up with Ate Joelle. I stepped foot on Caco's garage, and said hi to his Dad. Turning left, I saw Caco's figure from the distance and waved hi.

Ako: Oi, Cac's!! Miss na kita! Yey! (imagine me jumping up and down..)
Cacs: Oi.. (waving from afar..)
Ako: (walking towards Cac..) mumbling to myself: Teka, si Paeng yun ah.. si Juner yun.. teka. bakit may table na may barbeque.. may inuman sila ng ganito kaaga kina Cacs? Ito talagang mga kabarkada ko oh.. hay... Ha?

Cacs, Juner, Paeng and Xo: SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYBOL!!!!

Ako (Dumbfounded): Ha.. Ano??? (barely batting an eyelash...) SERYOSO BA ITO????
Cacs: Ano ba? Ayaw mo ba? (trying not to laugh..)
Ako: Anong ayaw.. hahaha.. Wow!!!!!!! Touch ako!!!!!!!!! hehehe... (smiling.. grinning ear-to-ear..)
