Going Gaga over a 15 year-old

I first saw her on ABS-CBN's Little Big Star Competition. Upon hearing her sing, I knew she was a winner. She has it all. Personality, voice quality - and she's always in tune! I get goosebumps everytime.

I remember seeing Sarah Geronimo for the first time - right then and there I knew she was going to be a big hit.

Charice Pampengco is no doubt another young lady who deserves to be recognized.

A fan so amazed with her talent he posted her video clip on youtube. Now, YouTube has made a singing sensation of Pinay Little Big Star Season finalist Charice Pempengco.

The video uploaded by FalseVoice showing Charice and America's Got Talent winner Bianca Ryan for a face-off is to be credited for Charice's heightening success. The video which now has almost a million hits has widened Charice's fan base and eventually, catching the attention of the world, which includes Ellen deGeneres.


In the Ellen DeGeneres Show of November 28, 2007 it featured the young Filipina in a Korean program. This young 15 year old was featured in a segment where Ellen showed videos of different people that she wanted to guest on the show.
 Charice performed a Dreamgirls song And I Am Telling You, which won Jennifer Hudson an Oscar, only Charice did it better!

Charice has also caught the attention of Hollywood entertainment and was dubbed "A Queen is Born" on E! Channel Hollywood Royalty not once but twice! In its edition of Daily 10 on E! -the Hollywood showbiz program reported that former American Idol contestant and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson was being upstaged by a 15 year-old Filipino girl Charice Pempengco while the second episode featured her as Hollywood Royalty alongside Matt Damon!

Ten Songs Production, a record company and Extensive Talent Management, based in Stockholm, Sweden, learned about Charice when they saw her Little Big Star video uploaded in YouTube and immediately contacted Charice's manager for a recording stint.

Charice has already recorded in Stockholm, Sweden and her six songs demo aims to cater to various genres t the US and UK markets. Among the songs recorded were her own versions of "I Will Always Love You" (Whitney Houston original), "Stay" (Shakespeare Sisters original), "All The Money In the World" (an original song sourced by Ten Songs for Charice), and "Running Up That Hill" (Kate Bush original). Ten Songs Productions is continuously looking for more materials for her.

Charice had six days of recording, all done in two to three hours. Despite her nosebleed due to the cold weather, the young singer was very professional in her work.

Star Records and Ten Songs Productions plan to release Charice's songs digitally, which is the current trend in the US and UK's music industry.

A most touching part in her video clip rendition of 'And I'm Telling You" is when Charice changed the words - from "You're the best man I've ever known" to "You're the best MOM I've ever known." Mom must be so proud of her little Diva.

Recent reports reveal that The Ellen DeGeneres show has already contacted Charice inviting her to guest on the show. Let's just hope for the best that everything will go on smoothly so Charice can fly to LA.
